Since seeing these chairs, I’ve been checking out this online furniture store heaps, even though there’s no chance I can get any of their products delivered to Australia. If you live in the US and decide to purchase anything from this site, I’ll be eternally jealous of you! Looking through their catalogue helps me imagine how I want my own house to look someday.

Yes, I am in love with Polaroids lately! Marie shares with us the photos she took with her 4 different Polaroid cameras when she went on a weekend trip to Madonna Inn with some friends. Not only are her and her friends extremely good looking, but the Madonna Inn is the perfect location for taking some themed photographs. I’m very impressed with how her Polaroids turned out!

An in-depth and comprehensible tutorial on creating WordPress themes from scratch. This definitely helped me out when I was modifying my theme. Someday I’ll rely on it to walk me through creating one completely from scratch!

It is refreshing to see keyboard shortcuts for an Adobe program typed up specifically for Windows users for a change! As much as I would love to own a Mac, I don’t and it’s irritating to remember what the Option and Command keys correspond to - or maybe I just have a bad memory. Anyway, the article lists some handy shortcuts that will speed up your Photoshop experience.

I’m not vegan, nor am I vegetarian (although I rarely eat red meat, unless I’m forced to. I’m a chicken and fish kinda girl!), but this extremely delicious-looking blog makes me think I could be! Step-by-step recipes are posted weekly and Lolo takes brilliant photographs to illustrate them. Whether you’re after a breakfast, dinner or dessert you’ll be able to find plenty of recipes to quench your appetite.

star -bullet-icon Who Do You Design For: Clients or Users?
This article poses a very interesting question to designers. Have a read through and then think about how you’d respond. Personally, I think as designers we should find a happy medium between designing for both the client and the user. We have to be able to convince the client that their ideas are decent, but (a) and (b) needs to happen to have (c) as the outcome (”c” being an effective design). It helps if we back up our persuasion with design theory and then, if possible, make the client think it was their idea! If the client is strongly opposed to negotiation then it’s important to ultimately make them happy in the end, because they are the ones paying for the design after all.
